Seven Years of Seeing: Farming, Food, People

I have had the pleasure of working with The Goods Shed in Canterbury for the past seven years and no Friday has ever been the same. Whether nipping through the Kentish countryside to see Giles and Kate in their Elham Valley of ducks obscured by shimmering barley or standing in a pouring thunderstorm pointing my camera at a table of a hundred people with their brollies up eating supper on the farm, it’s always exciting and very real.

We’ve never tried to put anything in a box, preferring to react and remain agile with what life throws at us (and throw at us it certainly has, again and again) but I believe this is the real beauty of it. It’s often quite hard to take off my ‘marketing hat’ and just be, which is why this day a week (it must be 400 Fridays by now) is pure gold to my creative soul and, from what I am told, some of the loveliest, real marketing that the people of East Kent have ever seen.

Below, a selection of images.
